Quick painting in PS CS without any lineart. Turned out okay in my opinion. Not looking for crits because I know what's wrong with the piece and its something I just have to keep practicing until I get it right.

Done because Solrock is the Pokemon of the Month for :iconpokedorks: and I needed practice badly in painted backgrounds. I really like the sand dunes in the background. The temple notsomuch.

I like the soft look of the overall image. The position and posture of the solrock don't look stiff either. Nice job for a quick painting.^^

Really great piece! I love it when people go all-out on their artwork and make a full backdrop. It adds a ton of interest, professionalism, and mood to the well-drawn Solrocks. :nod: I can easily imagine the feel of sizzling sunlight on my face when looking at this.

Good use of color, too. The delicate, subtle use of blue sets off the warm, earthy colors nicely.

I think the temple is pretty cool, looks almost forgotten amongst the sand. Great job, lovely solrocks to. :3

While Solrock is one of my least favorite pokémon, I do really like the look and concept of this pic!
